Business systems and empowering employees for improvement

I’m currently reading “The Referral Engine” by John Jantsch (I’ll add the Amazon link later), but he said something that really struck a chord with me, and that’s when you make what’s expected of your team and clearly define routine work, it frees employees up to think of the more creative questions, like

how can I get the desired result faster?

It’s an awesome book – highly recommend it and I’m only on the 3rd chapter!
